"Wonderful story of love, magic and aliens!"
When she was nine years old, Jana Jasper still believed in
magic. But then again, Jana wasn't like the other kids.
Jana couldn't speak; somewhere between her brain and her
mouth, the words became all jumbled and Jana didn't say
anything at all. Even though Jana couldn't speak and was
home schooled, she still had a pretty good life. She lived
at her grandfather's ranch, along with her mother, father,
older brother and sister. One thing her grandfather pounded
into her head was all Jaspers serve the people. To serve
the people was the best thing possible a Jasper could do,
and both her grandfather and father were in politics. One
night when her mother and father were leaving on a trip,
Jana saw a boy stuck in the tree outside her window. This
boy was encased in a glowing blue ball and Jana ended up
climbing through her window and freeing him. The boy and
Jana would meet outside after everyone was in bed. The two
of them never talked and Jana knew he was magic and she
called him Peter in her mind. The last time Jana saw Peter,
she ended up scraping her knee and somehow, Peter healed
her. Then he gave her a kiss. This wasn't an ordinary kiss;
when Peter kissed Jana, he also gave her the gift of gab.
When she told her older sister what happened, Evie told
Jana to make three wishes. Now we fast forward to the present day. Jana Jasper is now
the youngest state senator in California. And right now,
her family is in trouble. Someone is trying to smear her
dad and her and they're both under attack. Jana has always
been gung ho for the environment and is now in the process
of cracking down on the illegal smuggling of Russian
caviar. Of course, the fact her ex-fiancé is plastering
unflattering things about Jana on billboards isn't helping.
When Jana leaves the ranch, she promises her grandfather
she'll only get in the paper for the bills she passes and
not anything else. After this rough of a day, Jana decides
to pick up some ice cream in her sister's neighborhood.
While in the store, she's accosted by a man in some sort of
combat get up. The man won't leave her and when a vehicle
ends up being cut in two, he grabs Jana and they run away.
The stranger turns out to be none other than Peter. Of
course, his name is Cavin of Far Star and not Peter. And
Cavin is in the military with the Coalition Forces. It
turns out the Coalition wants Earth and Cavin has come back
to warn Jana. Naturally, this isn't as easy as it sounds,
especially with a REEF (Terminator-type assassin) after
Cavin. Will the two of them be able to save the Earth from the
Coalition? What of the REEF after Cavin? Will he succeed?
Will Jana's political career end up down the toilet? What
of Peter's magic? Is it real? YOUR PLANET OR MINE? is a fantastic story filled with all
kinds of danger and magic and love. Susan Grant has really
outdone herself in this one and doesn't disappoint. We have
the obligatory alien, threats on the hero's and heroine's
life, and the Earth to save. The action in this story just
doesn't stop but continues nonstop. We have a love meant to
be from their very first kiss. This is a story that will
have everyone believing in magic and true love. This is one
story you don't want to miss.

**2006 PEARL HONORABLE MENTION - BEST FUTURISTIC ROMANCE Think the grocery store is a great place to meet men?
Hunky interstellar fugitive, aisle 5.
With outrageously false accusations piling up against her famous political family and an ex-fiancé in hot water determined to take her down with him, the last thing Jana Jasper needs is more trouble--especially man trouble. But when she heads to the grocery store for an ice cream fix, not only does the muscled hunk in the frozen foods section ranting about spaceships and invasions look crazy, he looks... familiar.
Cavin of Far Star has never forgotten the girl he met during his weeks spent on that quaint little world, planet Earth, the girl who didn't believe he was real. And now he'll risk his future to save her. All she has to do is take him to her leader. Simple enough plan--although Jana isn't so easily convinced. Hell-bent on charming his way past her defenses, he's determined to stay one step ahead of the galaxy's most feared assassin--and may just capture his favorite Earthling's heart in the process.
