"Darkness knows no bounds in this scintillating read!"
Christine Feehan's, Dark Demon, follows very nicely in
the Carpathian series as we come to learn Vikirinoff's
search for his lifemate has finally come to an end as he
locates Natalya in the Carpathian Mountains under attack
by
vampire. Unfortunately, Natalya is trying to eradicate all
forms of vampire, be they evil or Carpathian. This
definitely puts a crimp in the new relationship. However
irony is not lost as Natalya also carries the Carpathian
blood in her along with her mage abilities and the line of
Dragon Seekers. Natalya is thrust into much confusion as Vikirnoff
comes
off with great determination of claiming her for his own.
However deep within Natalya is also the heart of a tiger
that longs to release its powerful nature on those that
would harm her. He recognizes this in her and cannot help
but be impressed by her wild nature. Although he had
impressions of a lifemate that would be mild mannered and
completely devoted to him, he is coming to accept and love
this very independent and brave woman. And while Natalya and Vikirinoff circle around each
other, an even greater plot is discovered as vampires are
becoming stronger and cleverer as they zero in on the
Carpathian King. For the destruction of the king would
have
a serious crippling ripple affect to the Carpathian
race. I have followed Ms. Feehan's Carpathian series from the
very beginning and she has managed to deliver solid and
consistent tales of lifemates, eternal love, and dark
seduction. And if the end of this book is any indication
of
what is to come in her next books, then I can hardly wait
to see where she leads.
