"A story to be enjoyed by ALL AGES"
Gabrielle is a bonemender with extra healing talents and
King Jerome of Verdeau's daughter. Neither her surprise to
see elves nor her surprise at her attraction to Féolan,
slows Gabrielle in attending his friend Danaïs who has been
gored by a boar. Once healed, the elves explain that a
mutual enemy, the Greffaires, plan an invasion of the
Krylian Basin. King Jerome must send notice to other
leaders in the basin so all may prepare for war.

With war coming and their responsibilities toward the
separate kingdoms where they live, will Gabrielle and
Féolan be able to find time to be together? Gabrielle falls
in love with Féolan but feels she can't be with someone who
lives hundreds of years to her short life. With war coming,
no one has a guarantee for a long life. In a world formed from traditional medieval and fantasy
references, THE BONEMENDER is a comfortable read with a
pleasant mix of action, fantasy, family and love. The
spying and strategies mixed with snippets of life during
preparation for battle finally lead to several action
packed war scenes. As an adult, life experiences filled in
some blanks but the violence factor is not excessive and
the love innocent. I feel this story will be enjoyed by the
age group recommended - even 'Up' to us adults who enjoy an
uncomplicated fantasy.
