"one exciting moment to another- it is a book you CAN'T put down!"
I highly recommend you read TINKER first. In TINKER, human-
turned-elf inventor Tinker saved elfworld and earth from an
Oni interdimensional attack. In this sequel, the "fall out"
must be handled. Wolf Who Rules known as Windwolf is the elven noble who
claimed Tinker as his DOMI. He is also head of the Wind
Clan and Viceroy and now rules over Pittsburgh and humans
stranded on elfworld. Coping with humans, the Stone Clan
and preparing for another Oni attack is taking him away
from helping his DOMI understand her new nature, skills and
the duties expected of a Viceroyess. Meanwhile, Tinker tries to solve the discontinuity and cope
with dreams or are they prophecies? For a person used to
working alone, Tinker must learn to cope with constant
guards and protocols as well as the emotional aspects of
changing from human to elf. Ms Spencer takes us from one exciting moment to another as
Windwolf and Tinker experience the pressures and
expectations of those around them. 18-year-old Tinker finds
and looses friends as relationships develop and change.
Subtle plot points tie together and draw everyone together -
the humans coping with being stranded and the elven folk
preparing for the Oni attack. I highly recommend this - it
is a book you CAN'T put down. Reviewed by Cy Korte for Bookisle
