"A futuristic romance that will remain a classic"
The Planet Windarra was settled when two surviving space
craft crashed on the planet. As each craft landed on
different isolated continents, their cultures developed
differently. It is only in recent times where
transportation has allowed methodical East to meet
flamboyant West. Sariana Dayne was a confident, efficient
businesswoman from the East who came to prove herself by
aiding the glitzy Western Avylyn clan. Unfamiliar with the
West sector's Shield society, Sariana's practical plan to
recover Avylyn's stolen prism cutter turns unruly when she
commandeers the Shield mercenary Gryph Chassyn. Somehow
after agreeing to work with him, Sariana finds herself
mated to Gryph with a psychic bond that she doesn't
understand and he finds is different than expected. Although a basic story of the alpha man marrying an
independent woman, there are several unique and essential
differences in the story. The science fiction and psychic
elements take this from the realm of an everyday romance
into a futuristic fantasy that touches the heart. Neither
Sariana nor Gryph finds what they wanted, but both find
what they need. The classic 'happily ever after' even has
an added promise of the changes brought about in Windarra
because of their love. Ms. Krentz has truly provided a
futuristic romance that will hopefully continued to be
considered a classic by fans of the genre.
