"A fun fairy romance read."
Cupid's Melody is a fun modern day fantasy fairy read
as a man searches for his true love reborn. You see Nic
Stone is a Fairy, a gorgeous one at that, who asked the
Queen, Titania to grant his true love immortality. She
did, provided he paint Titania's portrait. Seems simple enough until he realizes that nothing is
ever simple where Titania is concerned. There is always a
catch. No sooner does Nic go back to tell his dearly
beloved the good news, does he learn that Anna must die
and be reborn into her immortality. Heart broken and just about out of his mind with the
loss he keeps his agreement and paints Titania's portrait.
Now 25 years have passed and Nic believes he has found his
Anna. The woman is the spitting image of her but now calls
herself Dianna and is a famous singer. When Nic sneaks
into what he believes to be Dianna's room to kiss her, he
finds his passion does awaken, but in the wrong woman. He
has entered her sister Stacy's room instead. But that simple kiss is enough to complicate everything
as an attraction grows toward Stacy that he is having a
hard time controlling as he pursues Dianna. However Nic
has learned that he cannot fail in finding his Anna for
should he tell the wrong woman he loves her and it is not
returned then Nic will lose his beloved and become
Titania's servant forever. Ms. Fox does an excellent job of weaving the fae world
into a contemporary story. Cupid's Melody is a fun read,
however I found Nic to be a bit dense at times where the
whole situation was concerned. And being a fairy I thought
he would catch on a lot sooner by all the clues thrown his
way. But then I believe Ms. Fox is trying to show how
blind love can make us at times. This is definitely a
quick and fun read and I recommend this book for those in
need of some light fantasy fun romance.
