"Opened new doors of imagination in Carpathian Legends"
As a psychic 6-year-old child, Destiny saw her family
murdered and
was converted to a Carpathian by a vampire. Although
converted,
she suffers from the vampire blood but remains steadfast
because of
the mind-voice who has been her instructor since her pain
made
contact with him. She blocks him out as well as her pain,
but he
is always there 'in her head' and to share his power when
she needs
him. What she can't determine is if he is as evil as the
vampires
she now destroys.
Nicolae has suffered with her and trained her to protect
herself
and others all the while searching the world for her. As
an
ancient, he and his brother have hunted vampires and he
taught
these skills to Destiny. The vampires now seem to be
gathering in
packs; so their danger is multiplied. Now that he has
finally
found her, Nicolae will not let evil harm her again.
DARK DESTINY has such a distinctly different focus on
Carpathians
and vampires that fans will be intrigued. Destiny is
definitely a
woman who knows her power. Although she has issues with
her own
self-esteem, Destiny is dedicated to protecting others
from the
suffering she had endured. Now that Nicolae is more than
just a
voice in her head, her goals are not going to change.
There are
many added facets to the Carpathian life-mate lore
explained in
this unique story. Ms. Feehan has opened new doors of imagination in her own
legend.
The word 'page turner' does not describe how absorbed you
find
yourself in the story. DARK DESTINY kept moving from
event to
event all captivatingly tied together. The ending has a
remarkable
twist you won't want to miss. (Never underestimate caring
little
old ladies.) You won't want to delay in reading DARK
DESTINY.
