"Exciting Texas romance"
In 1880 Coyote Springs, Texas, Ranger Jonah Danhill soaks
his aching shoulder still recovering from a bullet wound
when a woman runs into his hotel room and hides underneath
his bed. A moment later, two men enter the room asking
for the woman, whom they insist stole money from them, but
Jonah throws them out. Heiress Maddie Garret tells Jonah
he did not steal any money and needs his help to ransom
her abducted fifteen-year-old younger sister Christina.
Reluctantly, Jonah agrees to escort Christina pretending
to be a married couple. As the duo travel on the quest together, they fall in
love. However, Maddie knows her prime objective remains
her sister while Jonah feels he is beneath her and besides
she feels owing him does meant loving him. Whether they
succeed or not, it seems that, the relationship between
the Ranger and his TEXAS BRIDE will not survive the
mission. This is an exciting Texas romance starring two
protagonists. Readers will believe the dynamic duo
deserves happiness together, but doubt the couple will
achieve this especially with her sister in jeopardy. The
story line is action packed from the moment Jonah's bath
is disturbed until the final confrontation between the
hero and the bad guys. Sub-genre fans will appreciate
Carol Finch's fine tale. Harriet Klausner
