REVIEW

"Full of action and taut suspense and HOT romance"

Former FBI agent Connor McCloud almost died when his friend and mentor, Ed Riggs, betrayed him so he had no choice but to send the man to prison. Now Erin Riggs, Ed's daughter and the woman Connor wants more than anything else, will have nothing to do with him. When the killer who masterminded the plot reappears, Connor knows Erin has to be protected and decides to go after what he wants. Little does he realise that the shy, studious girl is more than a match for him.

STANDING IN THE SHADOWS is as hot as mainstream romantic fiction can be without crossing the line into erotica. Full of action and taut suspense, I was glued to the pages right to the finale. Connor McCloud is the ultimate tortured hero who will break your heart, heal it as he heals then break it again when he gets the girl. STANDING IN THE SHADOWS is the sequel to BEHIND CLOSED DOORS and though it does stand alone, be warned, you will want to read the first one and then be left needing more.
