"A magical read..."

Jaime Campbell doesn't believe in magic but when a friend suggests she buy a magic talisman at The Broom Closet magic store to change her bad luck, she figures it can't do any harm. Jaime finds she is drawn to the dusty old store and when she meets its mysterious proprietor her life changes forever.

Modern-day witch, Chad Penwarren, had only agreed to look after the store for a friend. Little did he know that his reluctant customer would be the one to fulfill a family prophesy to reunite two lost souls.

THE TALISMAN is a short story packed with magic and romance, Chad Penwarren is a compelling character whom I would have liked to see more of. The story is well written and I particularly enjoyed the spine-tingling scene when the heroine finds herself at the mercy of the villain. If you enjoy stories involving contemporary witchcraft then Karin Huxman's tale is for you.

Jaime doesn't believe in magic or luck, but after a run of very bad luck, she takes a friend's advice and seeks a good luck charm at a magic store. Chad is a modern witch, a Wiccan from an ancient family of witches. Natural magic is his life's blood. In a classic tale of opposites attracting, Jaime and Chad find they have something in common after all - the talisman of which they are both a part.
