"Another deep, dark and very desirable Dark Hunter novel!"
Sherrilyn Kenyon continues her Dark Hunter theme in Kiss
of the Night, but takes you on a whole different wild and
sexy adventure with Wulf and Cassandra. So sit down buckle
yourself in and prepared to be amazed by this dynamic world
of Dark Hunters, Apollites, and Daimons. For Sherrilyn has
a myth of her own to weave for you. Wulf, a Viking warrior, was tricked by a dark huntress
into trading souls. As a result Wulf becomes the Dark
Hunter, an immortal, who must travel through time in the
dark of night and slay those Daimons that would prey on
human souls. Unlike most Dark Hunters, Wulf is granted a
power that renders other humans outside of his bloodline
with amnesia. Within five minutes of meeting him they
forget who he is. Unfortunately this power ultimately
becomes his curse and leaves him lonely. And now Wulf's
bloodline is down to one, Chris his over protected squire
that he pushes to breed so his line continues and he is not
completely forgotten. Out on the town with some girlfriends, Cassandra has a
run in with some Daimons that want her dead. As she is the
last of the Apollites and it is believed that by her death
all Daimons will be saved. Enter Wulf as he shows up in
time to save Cassandra and kick some Daimon butt. Grateful
for his intervention, Cassandra follows him out the door to
thank this gorgeous man that came to her aid. Only to find
there is an attraction that goes both ways and Wulf seals
his with a passionate kiss and walks away... knowing she
will
never remember him. What he doesn't realize is he has saved
a woman who is half human and half Apollite, which is an
enemy he has sworn to kill. As an Apollite, Cassandra will
die upon her 27th birthday, which is only eight months
away. The only way to avoid this death is to turn Daimon
and take the blood and soul of a human. Thus I find myself reading furiously wanting answers to
so many questions that a creative author like Sherrilyn
Kenyon can stimulate. Can Wulf accept Cassandra for who she
really is? Can Cassandra resist the urge to become Daimon?
Can Cassandra trust the one man that is her sworn enemy,
with her life? The Dark Hunter series is superb! Each novel lends
itself to the next and together they form an even bigger
story of this world in its entirety. Kiss of the Night is
loaded with great action, deep suspense, hot romance, and
amazing wit. Sherrilyn's imagination is a powerful thing
and this book continues to prove just that!
