"an entertaining mix of fantasy and Regency romance"
The faeries, Allegro and Largo are assigned what seems an
impossible task. They are to aid the Earl of Falconwood
and Phaidra Moore in falling in love. Phaidra, a spinster
and commoner, has given up on finding a husband and seeks
to open her own hat shop. Known as the Black Falcon, the
earl hovers on the edges of society because of his
reputation. It is rumored that he murdered his brother to
obtain the title. The earl, who owns factories, wants a dye called
Nottingham Blue, which Phaidra's father has made her
dowry. Phaidra is caught while trying to stop her cousin
from smashing one of the earl's looms. The earl tells
Phaidra that they must marry or he will see her cousin
convicted but Phaidra convinces him to give her time to
get her father to allow him use of the dye. However, she
doesn't count on the interference of the faeries. KISSED BY MAGIC was an entertaining fantasy romance with
interesting characters. The earl, who isn't what he at
first appears, makes a great hero. He is tormented by his
brother's death and must forgive himself before he can
move on. Phaedra considers herself a spinster and tries
to make the best of her situation and open a shop. She is
greatly attracted to the earl, but must figure out how to
pierce the wall that he has built around his heart. Largo
and Allegro, the two interfering faeries, have a tough
time with the earl and Phaidra. This is only compounded
by the many arguments that they have with each other. In
the end, they learn to work together and become friends.
If you are looking for an enjoyable fantasy romance with a
regency feel; give KISSED BY MAGIC a try.

The faeries' missionýwere Allegro and Largo to accept itýis to do the impossible: make the earl of Falconwood, "the Black Falcon," fall in love with Phaidra Moore, the incorrigible spinster of Nottingham. Never mind that the woman is a hoyden who makes the most atrocious hats and colors them with her own creation, the famous Nottingham Blue. And certainly forget that the earl is atoning for his brother's death, keeping himself at the fringes of the ton. Allegro and Largo have to make the twosome fall in love! But the Maestro wants it so, and thus the skinny faerie and the fat one make up their mindsývery soon both Phaidra and Kain will be kissed by magic.
