"HOT contemporary romance with quirky characters"
Ray Vereker is not only a highly trained mercenary but
also, a woman. She is hired by Eli Connors to go into a
small Central American country and rescue Eli's kidnapped
brother. Eli is surprised to find that the mercenary he
has hired is a woman. What makes matters worse is that he
is very attracted to her. UNEXPECTED is a very hot, contemporary romance with
interesting quirky characters. Eli isn't what he appears
on the surface. He has been through tough times and can
take care of himself. He is not the spoiled rich man that
he, at first, appears. Ray appears tough and she is.
However, she has a softer side, which Eli sees. I have
only one small quibble with this book, and it is a
personal distraction. I found Ray's name very
distracting; I had to keep reminding myself that Ray was
the heroine. All in all, UNEXPECTED was an enjoyable
contemporary romance with adventure and hot love scenes.
