"A sweet paranormal Regency romance"
Carolly Hanson, an American who first died in the year
2000, awakens to find herself in Regency England. She has
been living different lives in different times trying to
earn her angel's wings. Henry Northram, the Earl of
Traynern, wishes to help this obviously delusional young
woman, who he found beaten and bloodied on his property.
Carolly realizes that her mission is to find a love for
the stuffy, uptight earl, but she finds herself falling
for him. Will Carolly succeed and earn her wings? ALMOST AN ANGEL is a paranormal Regency romance that is
quite humorous in places. I greatly enjoyed the
interactions between Carolly and the Darcy-like earl. It
was fun watching Carolly get the earl to loosen up
and "smell the roses". However, when the danger thread
was introduced, the story lost some of its appeal for me.
Carolly did some very ill-advised actions, which put
herself and the earl in jeopardy. All in all, ALMOST AN
ANGEL was enjoyable for its humor alone; I just wish the
heroine had used a little more common sense.
