"For fans of taut romantic intrigue"
The stalker seems to be able to do anything he wants to
Holly Frasier no matter what safeguard she employs. He
kills those she loves with three dead in her hometown of
Maze, Mississippi and he knows her every move. He
silently enters her house without leaving any
incriminating evidence except what he wants left behind.
The culprit steals anything that Holly cherishes while
also leaving her disturbing poetry of adulation insisting
that she belongs to him and notes signed "Forever, Yours." Desperate for the offender to be stopped before the
perpetrator kills her as she expects, Holly agrees to what
seems to her is a harebrained scheme. She will pretend to
be married to FBI agent Jack "Ice Man" O'Hara. However,
not long after they begin their sham of a marriage, Jack
and Holly fall in love, but so far the wrongdoer continues
his unabated terror campaign with Jack now being a target
of his ire as just the latest person she loves that he
must destroy. Title aside, fans of taut romantic intrigue with a strong
accent on the suspense will immensely enjoy
BODYGUARD/HUSBAND. The lead couple is a delightful pair
struggling to survive against a clever murderer while
falling in love with one another. The transformation of
Jack from frozen heart to loving protector is realistic
and quite thrilling to observe. The story line is loaded
with action and though the killer is obvious from even
before the beginning, Mallory Kane provides a strong
police procedural romantic suspense that never slows down
until the final confrontation. Harriet Klausner
