"Sit down... strap yourself in because you're in for a ride...Dark Hunter style!!"
Sherrilyn Kenyon has done it again. With each Dark
Hunter book she manages to take her plots, character, and
culture to a whole new level. One of adventure, split
second timing, insatiable romance and very hot men! She is
unafraid to push the limits of the world we live in by
bringing on the Dark Hunters to help make this a better and
safer place to live in. Night Embrace is the third book in the Dark Hunter
series. (Fantasy Lover was first and Night Pleasures was
released second.) This novel revolves around a tragic
Celtic hero and bad boy, Talon of the Morrigantes. It opens
with the reader following another day or rather night in
the life of a Talon, doing his rounds in New Orleans, as
Marti Gras is upon them in only a matter of days.
Unfortunately this is an occasion that seems to bring out
more soul stealing Daimons than normal. Little does Talon know that his whole lonely immortal
life is about to take a serious turn in a direction he
thought long suppressed as a runaway Marti Gras float
renders him unconscious. When he awakens this Dark Hunter
finds him surrounded by anything but the favorite dark
leather and walls. Rather the color is pink and the woman
who is inspired by it is none other than Sunshine
Runningwolf. Sunshine, an artist and a free spirit, hasn't had the
best of luck with men. Already divorced and determined to
make it on her own as an artist, this free spirited woman
finds she is inexplicably attracted to Talon on more than
the physical level. But what starts out as her good
intentions could ultimately end up destroying the one thing
that has kept Talon alive all these hundreds of years. For
when Talon became a Dark Hunter his deepest wish was to
never feel his emotions again, let alone his heart. However Sherrilyn Kenyon takes this book to a whole new
level. In this novel we get to know quite a few of the
other Dark Hunters and meet several other
unusual 'characters' that happen by. This manages to open
up this new world she has created and give us more insight
to what drives a Dark Hunter and the culture they interact
with. She also lets us in on some of the history that led
to this culture evolving the way it did. And she manages to
do this all while she unfolds the story of Talon and
Sunshine. Night Embrace will have you running the gamut of
emotions, from: hilarious interactions between characters,
to tears and frustration of the injustices in the world, to
nail biting suspense as the Dark Hunters fight to keep the
human race safe. I would love to go on to tell you more
about the book, but it would give too much away. So instead
I ask you to read and see for yourself as Sherrilyn sends
you on an incredible adventure, with hot romance, and
heroes to die for.
