"A hot romp"
B&B owner Brynn Sutherland handles stress in a unique
manner by sleepwalking. She worries about getting too much
nocturnal exercise in when her former lover Cade Hunter
arrives at her B&B. Cade is working undercover to keep the
woman he never stopped loving from harm as he and his
superiors think she is a target of a serial killer. When Brynn sleepwalks into his bed, Cade keeps her safe.
He even suggests a cure that they visit their old hangouts
so that she can resolve what is bothering her from the
past. She agrees, desperate for anything that will let her
remain in her bed for the night. That is what she felt she
wanted but soon realizes her subconscious is not stressed,
as her mind wants her body in Cade's bed permanently. This heated tale is 95% contemporary romance and 5% serial
killer suspense. The story line focuses on Brynn's
sleeping disorder and Cade's efforts to use that to help
keep her in his life with her safety taking a back seat to
all else though he rationalizes that his bed is her safest
spot. The characters are a fine couple sharing a strange
courtship, but fans need to know that the intrigue is a
minor device to enable Cade to go to the B&B, something he
could have just done without the impetus. Harriet Klausner
