"A Really Nice Romance"
This was a really nice romance that reminded me a lot of
Nora Robert's style. In case you're one of the few who hasn't read it: It's
about three Scottish brothers who have doomed romances with
three women of another clan, and this results not only in
the destruction of both the clans, but also in the brothers
being sentenced to various purgatories until they make
amends. Three hundred years later, the last three female
members of the clan Claren find themselves on the receiving
ends of the McKinnon brother's attentions. The story is told in three parts, and though the other
characters are usually present in them, each part focuses
on one couple. I liked the first the most, for it seemed
to spend the most time with the couple, allowing them to
develop their relationship. Nonetheless, since destiny was
involved, it wasn't much of a stretch to find the quickness
of the relationships believable. This was a nice read, and it finally pulled me out of my
romance slump. Shelly Raines / March, 2000
