"comically steamy and sensual story that will enchant and inspire"
Deana Jones has had a bad day. She's just been fired from
her job, and sat in "something wet" and decidedly un-
kosher on the train. By the time she makes it to the
parking lot and discovers that her car is blocked behind
two others that have just collided and are hopelessly
fender-locked, she has just about had it with this world. Stranded until a tow truck can arrive, Deana kills some
time in a nearby antique shop where she unearths an
ancient and tarnished necklace that, at first, appears to
be a worthless piece of junk but ultimately turns out to
be the key that will unlock a whole new future and new
worlds to her. These new worlds are soon revealed when
Deana arrives home from her horrendous commute and finds a
strange and outlandishly clad man -- Lorgin ta'al Krue,
Knight of the Charl -- sitting on her living room sofa. To say the least, Lorgin is a strange character who sees
the neighborhood mall as an adventure, coffee as a to-kill-
and-die-for elixir, and telekinetically induced airplane
turbulence as "fun". Nonetheless, he is a stubborn and
undeniably raw male weird bird that Deana will have to
deal with whether she wants to or not for Lorgin ta'al
Krue has appointed himself her personal guardian and made
it his duty to protect her, even if this means offing
Deana's popcorn-popping microwave with his trusty light
saber, to making her his wife and whisking her thousands
of galaxies away to fulfill the prophecy of the Shimalee --
Diana's newly-purchased necklace. Deana and Lorgin make one comically steamy and sensual
pair that enchant and inspire. And for lovers of high
romantic fantasy and adventure, their story is a must-read.
