"A story romance readers will love"
In Atlanta, Jenna Rawlins works as the CPA/CFO partner with
two other women managing Fairy Take Weddings magazine.
Jenna no longer believes in happily ever after, obtaining
her divorce from "Jack-ass" last year. Their two sons live
with her and she resides with her father. For their magazine, her partners ask her to spend time with
Mark Bishop, who says his passion is his work. Mark and
Jenna passionately hit it off and to her shock she ends up
in bed with him. However, though they are attracted to one
another, this relationship appears to be a one-night stand
until Mark learns that Jenna is pregnant with his child.
Though he always believed he wanted an uncomplicated life,
Mark concludes he would rather have happy chaos with his
beloved Jenna, her two rambunctious boys, and their child.
However, Jenna refuses to see him in the light of doting
husband and father so Mark's passion is to prove to her
that he wants her and everyone that goes with her for
eternity. Though the two children and her pregnancy add complexity to
the plot, AFTER THAT NIGHT is a straightforward romance
starring two charming protagonists. The theme has been
done zillions of times yet Ann Evans keeps it fashionable,
fresh, and fun. Readers of simple romances that entertain
will appreciate the latest "9 Months Later" story. Harriet Klausner

Jenna Rawlins is a straitlaced kind of woman. As fate
would have it, the one night she goes a little crazy and
allows herself to be seduced, she becomes pregnant. It's
bad timing, since she's trying to claim her independence
from her overprotective family, but she's bound and
determined to have this babyalone. After all, she's
successfully raising two boys by herself after kicking out
her good-for-nothing husband. Another baby she can
handle. Another manforget it.
Mark Bishop has discovered Jenna's condition and wants to
be part of his child's life. But Jenna doesn't believe the
confirmed bachelor is up to the challenge. So she tests
himmaking him spend time with her boys, showing him
what it's like to be a parent. The problem is, he loves
this life that's been thrown at himthe boys, the
child on the way...and Jenna.
