When he left his forest home, Slayer was an immature,
broken-hearted cub. He thought Ayanni, the tall, slender,
ebony beauty he loved, had rejected him. Years later,
Slayer, the future ruler of the mythical kingdom of Tern
Terra, learns that the one afternoon he and Ayanni spent
together has put her in an untenable situation.
But when Slayer rushes back to Volter to make amends to
Ayanni and to protect his mother who has been hurt in a
hunt, he soon finds himself mired in problems in Volter.
Not only is there dissension from within the ranks of his

handsome, blond, green-eyed shifter called Shadow, who
seems to make her happy. Has Slayer lost his one true love
