Summary

Verity Reed loves her work as the archivist-in-charge of the new Legions of Rome exhibit at the local museum. The finest piece in the exhibit is a mysterious Roman dagger—eighteen inches of hard iron meant to pierce an enemy's heart. Verity wishes she could meet the weapon's owner and finds that fantasies do come true...
