Summary

When Mara, an angel in disguise, is sent down to the infernal regions on a mission to recover a lost holy relic, she is thrust into a world of lustful deceit and tempting sin. Her mission: to locate the relic within Lucifer's domain and return back to her fellow angels unscathed. Her setback: She is placed in the hands of Belial, a powerful and attractive demon, by orders of Lucifer to watch over her and instruct her on the ways of carnal pleasure so that she will make a suitable mistress for the prince of darkness. "The Threshold" is the introduction to the Hellfire series and sets the stage for the love triangle between an angel and the demons that want to possess her.
