HOT AUGUST NIGHTS by EVELYN STARR
|
SummaryTannie Hogan's got a problem. Her sister has gone missing,
in the company of a man she married without thinking -- a
man Tannie's convinced is just plain no good.
So far, Tannie's search for her missing sister has come up
empty. Until she finds an old time sheet stuck to the
bottom of a trash can, and the signature at the bottom
leads her straight to Bax Dixon, accused murderer, sometime
gardener, and all-the-time hunk. At first, believing she's
a reporter come to hound him about the story, Bax wants
nothing to do with her. But Tannie's not about to give up.
Her sister is important to her. But there's more to it than
that. A lot more. Because she's always had a "thing" for
bad boys.
And Bax Dixon looks like the baddest of the bad.
