GUILTY FEET by KELLY HARTE
|
SummarySometimes life just gets too complicated...
Jo can't work out why her life suddenly seems to be falling
apart. Her high-flying career has hit a brick wall; her
parents have decided to have a mid-life crisis, with Jo
becoming piggy in the middle; but worst of all, her perfect
relationship with sexy music journalist Dan Baxter has gone
horribly wrong... One minute they were blissfully cohabiting, the next he's
telling Jo she's turned into her mother! Having stormed
out, Jo is too proud to return -- but can't believe Dan
hasn't come after her. Instead he seems more interested in
offering their nubile neighbour Libby far more than a cup
of sugar; and Libby seems to be doing a Single White Female
impersonation and transforming herself into a mirror image
of Jo! The thought of her (hopefully temporarily) ex-boyfriend and
her (definitely permanently) ex-friend in bed together
drives Jo to desperate measures. She decides to pose as a
George Michael fan and send anonymous emails to Dan, in the
hope of luring him into rekindled passion . . . Genius!
Except Jo soon finds herself caught up in a web of guilty
secrets. Can she rescue her relationship and reinvent
herself at the same time?
