As usual this is another five star book from Charlotte
Boyett Compo. This was the prequel to the Wind series, and
what happened prior to Windfall.

If you are looking for a gripping story filled with
emotion, both good and dark, adventure, deep and abiding
love and the depths and heights of the human condition,
then this is the book to read, as are all Charlotte Boyett-
