Summary

After the death of his son, the sound of childhood laughter brought only pain to K-9 police squad officer Matt Burkett. But it's the silence his wife Caroline couldn't stand. She wanted a baby; Matt couldn't bear the thought of loving-- and possibly losing--another child.
