Summary

After rescuing the Norse Trickster Loki from imprisonment, Oshun, African-Caribbean Goddess of Sensuality, begins an affair with the god. She warns the God of Mischief that he must avoid the pot, a vessel with magic potent enough to drive a god mad. Unable to resist the promise of such a powerful weapon, Loki pilfers from the pot. Oshun soon faces Loki's unpredictability and the Asgardians, who have tracked their escaped prisoner to her doorstep. Loki's refusal to return with the Asgardians opens the door to a battle where the goddess uses her magic against the battle gods and her former lover.
