Summary

Life is good as far as Ophelia Jensen is concerned. She’s coming to terms with her psychic powers, old wounds are healing, and she’s grudgingly earned the respect of Henry Comacho. At least it’s good until a phone call in the middle of the night wakes Ophelia from a sound sleep. "Know where I can find a good witch?" asks the voice on the other end. It’s Rick Delaney, and he needs Ophelia and Abby’s help. The daughter of a good friend has disappeared and suspicion rests on the enigmatic leader of a cult operating near Gunhammer Lake, Minnesota. The cult is involved in psychic investigation, and no one has been able to infiltrate the group. In Rick’s opinion, Ophelia and Abby are the perfect pair to discover what’s happening in the woods around Gunhammer Lake.

Posing as vacationers, Ophelia and Abby journey to Minnesota where they meet the leader of the cult, his foster daughter, and a strange, Native American shaman, who wants nothing to do with the two women. And by the silent shores of the lake, Ophelia and Abby discover evil wears many faces.
