Summary

Tomboy Dana Faolan is told by her single-parent father that they are emigrating from Ireland to his native Canada. Not long after, Dana meets the High Queen of Faerie and is charged with a mission. She must journey deep into the Wicklow Hills to carry a message to the King of the Mountain.

Thus begins a fantastic and perilous quest that leads Dana to boggles, oakmen, and ancestral spirits. But why has Dana been chosen for this mission?

And what has it to do with her long-lost mother?
