Summary

Artist Mara Hawthrone has a habit of picking the worst possible man to be in a relationship with. Determined to start fresh, and avoid entanglements, she moves from New York City to a small town. Mara finds a wonderful apartment, a perfect place to live and paint. There's only one small problem - it's haunted by a ghost, the roguish ancester of her attractive college professor/landlord. Mara doesn't believe in ghosts... until this one invades her dreams and gives her sensual pleasure beyond anything a mortal man can. But when her ghostly lover turns her life into a living nightmare, Mara finds herself driven to madness and involved in murder.
