Jenny Davidson
Jenny Davidson teaches in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. Her first young-adult novel was The Explosionist (2008), short-listed for the Cybils Science Fiction and Fantasy Awards and named as a Tiptree Honor Book; Invisible Things, the sequel, will be published in November 2010. She has also written a novel for adults, Heredity (2003), and two works of nonfiction: Hypocrisy and the Politics of Politeness: Manners and Morals from Locke to Austen (2004) and Breeding: A Partial History of the Eighteenth Century (2009). Honors include a Lenfest Distinguished Teaching Award (2005), a Guggenheim Fellowship (2005–06), and the Mark Van Doren Teaching Award (2010). Jenny lives in New York City. |
