Carolyn Crane

I began my career of writing about dark and mysterious characters at the age of 7 with a cycle of poetry about earthworms, which I can still partially recite, but only under extreme duress.

Ever since then I’ve dreamed of becoming a real author, diligently scribbling on various fiction projects while working as a waitress and a shop clerk, and currently, a freelance advertising writer.

I grew up in various suburbs of Chicago and Milwaukee, and actually, Mind Games is set in the fantastical Chicago/Milwaukee of my childhood imagination, where everything was massive and industrial, and wildly foreboding.

These days I live in Minneapolis with my handsome husband and two daring cats. Passions include reading in bed and in the bathtub, running, helping animals, and eating Mexican food.

Mind Games, out in March, 2010, is the first book in my Urban Fantasy trilogy, a.k.a. the disillusionists trilogy. The second book comes out in September 2010. Needless to say, I am incredibly excited about all this.
