About five years ago I read a fabulous book by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory titled The Outstretched Shadow. I fell in love with the characters in that book and when it ended I wanted to cry. I've always had a vivid imagination, but that book seemed to break loose something within me I hadn't realized needed freedom and before I could stop myself... I began to write.
