Flesa Black

So, who is Flesa Black? I’m a thirty-something woman who is a southern born romantic at heart. I’ve always been a sucker for Cary Grant and old fashioned, sweep me off my feet books and movies. I love jazz and blues, the kind that makes you picture warm nights gazing down at the Tennessee River, or sultry evenings on the bayou. I’ve always had a strange affinity for horses, and I love to ride any chance I get. I’ve also become addicted to certain computer games, much to my children’s delight and my husband’s frustration.

My biggest love, aside from my family, is my writing. I find myself looking forward every day to delving into whatever book I’m working on, or creating a brand new story.

For me, the characters are real, living people, and sometimes what they do surprises even me. I enjoy sitting down and letting the scenes unfold, watching it in my mind while the characters have conversations and romantic or adventurous encounters. It’s the very best part of writing for me.

I’m a very lucky lady with a wonderful husband who happens to have been my high school sweetheart. I also have two very rambunctious, loving children who never cease to amaze me with their questions and observations. It’s a joy to be in a home where there is plenty of laughter and lots of hugs and kisses.
