R. F. Long
R.F. Long always had a thing for fantasy, romance and ancient mysteries. The combination was bound to cause trouble. In university she studied English Literature, History of Religions and Celtic Civilisation, which just compounded the problem. Her short story The Lost Rose, published in Haruah, was a Top 10 finalist in the 2007 Preditors and Editors Awards in the mainstream fiction category. Elements, a historical fantasy, appeared in Flashing Swords’ 2008 Summer Special. Carrying Keptara is also currently available in the Hadley Rille Books Anthology Ruins Metropolis. The Wrecker’s Daughter appears in the Fall 2008 issue of Ocean Magazine. Her Holtlands Novella The Wolf’s Sister: a Tale of the Holtlands is coming from Samhain Publishing, Ltd. in November, 2008 (See the Coming Soon page for more details). Her debut novel, The Scroll Thief: a Tale of Ithian, will also be published by Samhain in Spring 2009. She lives in Wicklow, the Garden County of Ireland, and works in a specialised library of rare and unusual books. But they don’t talk to her that often. |
