Jenny Penn

Jenny Penn is a long time avid reader. As a latch-key kid, she preferred to hang out in the library reading than to go home to an empty (scary) house.

While she never did well in English classes in elementary school, her passion for reading grew into a passion for writing. A passion that turned into an obsession when her fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Flemming, commented on how well she wrote.

Mrs. Flemming might have been attempting to encourage a poor student to do better, but her comment fed young Jenny with a confidence to attempt to write an actual book. Unfortunately the book remains incomplete, but greatly loved by Jenny to this day.

Always a fan of teen crush stories, Jenny's attention turned toward true romance at the tender age of 12 when her grandmother would come to visit and bring stacks of Harlequin books.

It wasn't long before she was taking the bus to the used book store and spending all of her allowance on romances. It was natural that her writing turned toward trying to write a romance novel.

The first romance she ever wrote is incomplete at over 120,000 words and four different editions. Thankfully Jenny had a wonderful best frined who was not only going to college as an English major, but also an avid romance reader.

Over the past two decades Jenny has been working on her writing. She never thought of actually publishing, writing was just the way she relaxed. It was her mother who insisted that she submit something.

It was to her amazement that the first book she ever submitted was excepted for publication by Siren Publishing.

Now a new chapter has begun for Jenny and she hopes you'll read along with her.
