Background... Well, I'm a part-time writer and a full-time quality assurance engineer. I have a bachelors degree in biomedical engineering and a Masters in Information Technology.

Where the writing comes in... The writing thing didn't start until May of 2000, although my creativity showed itself in the second grade when I started writing R-rated comics strips during history class. The decision to put my thoughts on paper came while living in Boston and doing a job I detested. Thanks to writers like J.K. Rowling, Laurell K. Hamilton, and John Saul, I loved writing so much that my first manuscript turned out to be ~250,000 words and its sequel was ~190,000 words. I've collected my share of rejections over the years and even managed to snag an agent at one point. Since then, I've learned a lot about the craft and the business, what it takes to get your foot in the door, and how to keep rolling with the punches.
