Ann Marie Winston

Anne Marie Winston is a Pennsylvania native and former teacher. She began reading romances a long, long time ago and considers getting paid to write them the ultimate in occupations. Always a book lover, Anne Marie didn't begin writing her own romance until 1989, when she was at home with two babies, too many diapers and too much time to consider insane, risky career moves. She sold her first book in 1991 and to date has published more than thirty novels of romance fiction. Anne Marie's writing career is studded with awards and bestsellers.

A member of Romance Writers of America , Anne Marie also is a member of Washington Romance Writers , where she served as Vice-President and Retreat Chair and sits on the Board of Directors. In 1991, she received WRW's Magic Crystal Award for outstanding service to the chapter. She has been a featured speaker at numerous RWA chapters and at their national conference in addition to many organizations outside the industry. In 1998, she represented contemporary series romance fiction in a writing seminar at The Smithsonian Institute.

Anne Marie and her family share their southern Pennsylvania home with a number of four-legged family members. A puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Anne Marie is active in animal rescue and foster care work. She enjoys performing in amateur theater productions, employs a variety of needle arts and loves to watch other people cook. Especially if there's chocolate involved.
