Cheryl Sterling attributes her success to not listening to her mother when told to put down her book and go outside and get some fresh air. Writing since she could hold a pencil and self-publishing the family newspaper (circulation: four) at age ten, she’s graduated to computers and e-mail. She lives in western Michigan with her husband and two teenagers, still reads too much, but occasionally finds time to get outdoors.
