Shelli Stevens

I read my first romance novel when I was eleven. It was a Harlequin that I snuck off my mom's bookshelf, and it got me forever hooked on romance novels. A few years later I started to write my own stories; sort of a cross between Harlequin and Sweet Valley High. Basically it was a bunch of teenagers having sex. Not exactly YA material, but a definite foreshadowing of my future passion.

I'm currently single in Seattle, where I'm raising my toddler daughter. While I wait for my own hero to come and sweep me off my feet, I'm playing matchmaker for my characters and giving them a happily ever after. I'm Vice President of the Seattle chapter of the Romance Writers of America (GSRWA) and active in other areas of the writing community. When I'm not writing I enjoy music, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends.

A couple of interesting facts about me you may not know: I've auditioned for American Idol, and I'm a second degree purple belt in Tae Kwon Do (Though I'm currently on a hiatus.)
