Elizabeth Sinclair

Being a romantic at heart and having devoured her share of romances, it was inevitable that Elizabeth Sinclair would one day write them. Following her dream, which took more than a couple of wrong turns along the way, in 1993 she sold her first romance, JENNY’S CASTLE, to Silhouette Intimate Moments®. This perennial favorite reached #2 on the Walden Bestseller List and won a 1995 Georgia Romance Writers’ Maggie Award of Excellence. Since then, this multi-published, best-selling author’s books have sold in seventeen countries and been translated into seven foreign languages.

Elizabeth has been a member of RWA since 1988 as well as The Author’s Guild. Since the thing Elizabeth loves most, next to writing, is teaching, she has given seminars and workshops locally and nationally on the craft of writing for over twelve years.

A founding member of the Plot Queens www.plotqueens.com, her extraordinary critique group, Elizabeth strongly advocates finding a group of friends with like dreams and meeting as often as you can to discuss those dreams and work toward realizing them. Without good writing friends like Heather Waters (a newly published Berkley author), Dolores J Wilson (a best-selling Medallion Press author), Laura Barone, Kat McMahon and Vickie King, Elizabeth freely admits her life would be lacking something very important, both emotionally and creatively. Aside from writing romances, Elizabeth is also the author of the widely-acclaimed instructional books THE DREADED SYNOPSIS and FIRST CHAPTERS -- Book #1 in the Building a Novel Series, as well as several romances for Silhouette Intimate Moments®, Harlequin American®, Kensington Precious Gems® and Medallion Press®. Elizabeth lives in St. Augustine, Florida with her husband and two dogs, an affectionate, adopted Beagle named Sammi Girl and a raucous, unruly Sheltie named Ripley. She’s “the Mom” to three grown children and brags constantly about her four grandchildren.
