I was born and raised in St. Louis County where I attended the University of Missouri—St. Louis, graduating with a degree in English. After marrying my own personal hero, we took off for the Pacific Northwest. We've made our home in a small town north of Seattle for the past twenty-five years. Friends have asked where the idea for the Paladins and their world came from. All I can say is that I grew up reading gothic romance novels and westerns. Perhaps that's where I developed a definite fondness for flawed heroes who hold to their own code of honor, whether fighting rustlers at gunpoint or standing shoulder-to-shoulder with their fellow warriors, swords at the ready. DARK PROTECTOR has been a true labor of love for me. Although I love my western heroes, written under my other name, Pat Pritchard, I have to admit that Devlin Bane and his friends have certainly turned my life upside down. I hope you all find them as compelling as I do. |
