Stacey Klemstein

I love books. I've always loved books. And I started trying to write my own stories before I could actually write. As a little kid, on a vacation in Wisconsin, I dictated a story to my mother who wrote it down for me on a paper bag, the only paper available at the time. (My mother doesn't remember this, nor can either of us find the paper bag, so I have no idea what the story was about...except a vague recollection of it being inspired by some Neil Diamond lyrics.)

There's nothing like the pure joy of a story coming together, and I'm grateful to God every time I get to be a part of it.

I graduated from Valparaiso University in 1997 with a degree in English. While I was there, I had the privilege of learning from some great professors who encouraged my fiction writing. (But my tendency toward writing fragments instead of complete sentences should not be blamed on them!)

Since graduating, I've worked as a writer and project manager for a variety of Fortune 500 companies, both as an employee and a consultant.

When I'm not writing, I'm reading. My favorite authors are Laurell K. Hamilton, Kelley Armstrong and Janet Evanovich. And in my spare time, which my husband says isn't much and he's right, I take kickboxing and play with our two retired racing greyhounds, Snostorm and Joezooka.
