C. J. Carmichael

Hard to imagine a more glamorous life than being an accountant, isn't it? Still, CJ Carmichael gave up the glamour of income tax forms and double entry book-keeping when she sold her first book--a Harlequin Superromance called "Jessie's Father" in 1998. (She'd only been writing and submitting for ten years!)

No longer reduced to working when her children are sleeping (those children are now teen-agers who stay up later than she does) CJ is thrilled to be writing full-time now. Though most of her time is spent on her first love, Superromances, she has written one Intrigue, and has participated in several of Harlequin's continuity series programs as well. Look for her books in both the Cooper's Corner and Code Red series.

A past RITA nominee for Best Long Contemporary Series, CJ lives in Calgary, Alberta, where she and her husband and two daughters enjoy hiking and skiing in the Rocky Mountains.
