Attempted murder, corporate theft, drug abuse, embezzlement and more lies, deceptions and sordid affairs than she can remember spiced up the thirty years Arlene spent in the high tech industry (And you thought we were all geeks!)

Fortunately, since she traded her Pendleton suits for t-shirts, jeans and a thimble, the only crimes she now encounters are of her own invention.

When she isn’t writing mystery novels for Zumaya Publications, she authors the story part of the Storyquilts Lucy Winters Mystery, block of the month series.

Arlene also teaches a group of creative women in the coastal town of Tillamook, Oregon how to make interesting things by wrapping string around two sticks.

Supporting Arlene in her writing endeavors are her husband, children and her feline companion Lydia.
