R. J. Kaiser
R.J. Kaiser was born in Wichita, Kansas, grew up in Chicago, and moved with his family to the San Francisco Bay Area when he was 12. Ronn attended the University of California at Berkeley where he received an A.B. degree and a Juris Doctorate in Law.
He was a commissioned officer in United States Army Intelligence, and served as a captain in Vietnam. After returning to civilian life, Ronn received a master's degree in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
He has published scholarly articles, worked for the United States Congress in Washington, for a specialized agency of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, and was a business executive and consultant for over 10 years.
He always enjoyed writing, but couldn’t figure out a way to make a living doing it. But about 15 years ago Ronn had a month of free time between consulting jobs, so he wrote a novel. He fell in love with the creation of a novel and knew it was what he had to do. Fortunately, the next book he wrote sold and he’s been writing ever since.
Ronn has taught and lectured on creative writing and made radio and television appearances in connection with his writing career. One of his novels, Stranger in My Arms, was optioned to Tristar for a Movie of the Week.
He lives in Northern California with his wife, romance author Janice Kaiser. The kids are grown. Their daughter, Sybil, is studying at the Sorbonne in Paris and their son, Matthew, has recently completed his course work for a Ph.D. in English. Separate offices and a library at last!
