Maxine Barry

'Never Say Die' is Maxine Barry's motto. It took her five years to get her first book, Stolen Fire, published. Someone once told her that the only difference between a published writer and an unpublished one, is that the unpublished author gave up!

Maxine, a country girl at heart, lives in a small Oxfordshire village and much of her inspiration comes from the surrounding countryside, and the Oxford Colleges, where she once worked as secretary. A typical Pisces, Maxine is sensitive and creative, which, perhaps, explains why she has always wanted to be a professional writer.
